Statement of Faith
The Bible: the Bible is the Word of God in its entirety: every word, every jot, and every tittle is God breathed (II Tim. 3:16; Matt. 4:4; Lk. 4:4). God, having first written the Scriptures with His own hand (Ex. 31:18; Dt. 9:10), God the Spirit then moved His penmen to write down His words in a book (II Pet. 1:19-21; Jer. 36:1-4; Rev. 1:11). God has preserved His word (words) unto every generation (Ps. 12:6-7; Matt. 5:18; Matt. 24:35). God has preserved His word, every word, in the King James Bible.
The Godhead: the Bible declares that God exists in a triune Person: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit; known in the Scriptures as the Godhead (Acts 17:29; Rom. 1:20; Col. 2:9). Each being His own Persons, yet existing as One: co-equal, co-existant, co-eternal in glory and power (Dt. 6:2; II Sam. 22:32; Jn. 1:1; Jn 10:30; I Jn. 5:7-8).
The Gospel: the Bible declares that there is only one gospel whereby we can be saved; the gospel which was handed to us by the Lord Jesus Christ (Gal. 1:6-12; Rom. 1:16; I Tim. 1:11). The gospel simply defined as the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ (I Cor. 15:1-4; II Cor. 11:3-4).
Redemption: the Bible declares that God paid the price of redemption through the blood of His Lamb - the Son of God (Jn. 1:29; I Pet. 1:18-20). God's sacrificial offering was given to redeem all of humanity who is guilty of sin by his Adamic nature (Gen. 3:21-24; Rom. 5:12, 19; I Jn. 2:2), manifesting such by his own behavior (Rom. 3:23).
Salvation: the Bible declares that every man is a sinner and is guilty before God, bearing the guilt of his sin desearves death and Hell separated from God for all eternity (Rom. 3:10-12, 23; Rom. 6:23; II Thess. 1:9). Our only hope of salvation is our personal faith in God's Son, who mediated between sinful man and holy God (I Tim. 2:5) by giving Himself to bear our sins in His own body (II Cor. 5:21), thus buying the forgiveness of God toward us (Is. 53; Eph. 5:2; Tit. 2:14; Heb. 9:26). Salvation is offered to every man, but only those who have personally believed on and received Jesus Christ, placing their full faith on Him is saved (Jn. 3:36; Acts 16:31; Rom. 10:8-18; I Tim. 4:10). Upon receiving Christ Jesus as your personal Savior, you are in Christ eternally (Jn. 3:16; Jn. 10:28-30; Eph. 2:6; I Jn. 5:11-13).
The Church: the Bible declares that the church began when Jesus chose His apostles from among His disciples (Lk. 6:13; Eph. 2:20) who were saved and baptized (Jn. 1:35-51; Jn. 4:1-2); Jesus built up His church (Matt. 16:18; Matt. 18:15-20), commissioned His church (Matt. 28:18-20; Mk. 16:15), indwelt His church by indwelling individual members (Jn. 20:22), empowered His church (Acts 1:8), and likewise grew His church (Acts 2:38-42). His church, being perpetually a Baptist church (Matt. 3:13-17; Jn. 4:1-2; Acts 2:41; Acts 13:24-25; Acts 19:1-5); is a local, visible body who has been joined together, congregating to accomplish the work of the gospel (Acts 1:14-15; I Cor. 12) with Christ as the only Head (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18, 24) and the assembly as the only body (I Cor. 12:12-14).
The Baptist: the Bible declares that the church that Jesus started was a Baptist church: being forerun by a Baptist (Matt. 3:1) formed by Baptist doctrine (Acts 10:18), immersed with Baptist baptism (Matt. 3:13), and perpetuated by Baptist churches (Acts 8:1; Acts 13:1). We are Baptist in name, doctrine, and practice.
The Coming and Return of Christ: the Bible declares that Jesus is coming again for His saints prior to the tribulation period (I Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 4:1-2) and will return to judge the world and set up His kingdom (Is. 9:6-7; Rev. 19:11-21).
The Future Abodes: the Bible declares Heaven and Hell are literal and eternal places whereby man will live out their eternal existence. Heaven is the eternal place of abode for all who believe in Jesus Christ, to live with Him for ever (II Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:21-23; I Thess. 4:17). Hell, created for Satan and his dominions, is the eternal place of abode for all who reject Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and will live in their death with their father, the devil; separated from God for all eternity (Matt. 7:22-23; Jn. 8:44; II Thess. 1:9; Rev. 21:15-20).
The Holiness of God and Separation: the Bible declares that we are to be holy, living separate from the ideologies and philosophies of the world (Col. 2:6-8); not forming ourselves after the world but after Christ (Rom. 12:1-2; Eph. 5:11; I Pet. 1:14-16; I Jn. 2:15).
Statement of Opposition
Opposition of false gospels: the Bible declares that there is only one gospel given to man by the Lord Jesus Christ, and all other gospels are false (Gal. 1:6-12). We therefore oppose false gospels, such as, Calvinism, Armenianism, Lordship salvation, works salvation, baptismal regeneration, sacrimental efficacy, etc. Those who propagate such false gospels are accursed (without hope of redemption) by God (Gal. 1:8-9).
Opposition of false theology: the Bbile declares that we must oppose false theologies, such as Prodestant theology, reformed theology, replacement theology, etc. These, and such like, are systems of theology that was handed down by false teachers (I Tim. 4:1; II Pet. 2:1).
Opposition of body of Christ theory: the Bible declares that the body of Christ is the local, visible New Testament church (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18), therefore, we oppose the theory that teaches the body of Christ is composed of all believers in the church age.
Opposition of universal church theory: the Bible declares that the church is a local, visble assembly of baptized believers who have joined themselves into one local body (Acts 1:15; Acts 2:42; Acts 8:1; Acts 13:1; I Cor. 12:12-14). The universal church theory was birthed by the Catholics (universal), handed down to her Protestant children, and was never taught by the Lord, His apostles, or His church.
Opposition of liberalism: the Bible declares that we are to test the doctrines of men and avoid them who are contrarty to sound doctrine (Rom. 16:17; Eph. 4:14; II Thess. 2:15; II Thess. 3:6; I Jn. 4:1).
Opposition of contemporary movement: the Bible declares that we are not to take on the fashions of the world (Rom. 12:1-2; I Pet. 1:14). we therefore oppose those churches who have embraced the world's music styles, hollywood's staging, world's dress, etc.
Opposition of the Charismatic movement: the Bible declares that the church is to be decent and orderly (I Cor. 14:40); referring to the misuse and abuse of spirititual gifts. We oppose the doctrine and practices of the Charismatic movement.
